Product Details
The Magix comes with a built-in router and offers T1 trunk interfaces. It also has integrated voice-mail messaging that supports up to six ports, 100 hours, and 200 mailboxes. Up to nine Magix systems can be configured with a uniform dialing plan and centralized messaging support.
As noted, the Magix supports existing Legend phones, but it also supports six new digital telephone instruments—two single-line sets, a basic multi-line display and three advanced multi-line display phones.
Lucent also offers an option for the Magix called the Integrated Network Access Applications Module, which has a built-in DS1 interface, CSU/DSU and firewall-equipped router. The module interfaces to the PSTN via a T1, which can run up to 24 TDM/PCM circuit-switched channels or the full 1.5 Mbps can be made available for IP traffic. The module also comes with a 10-Mbps Ethernet interface.
Another option for the Magix is Windows-based System Programming and Maintenance (WinSPM) software, which enables the customer to make programming changes in real time from a PC. The WinSPM also makes possible centralized programming of multiple Magix systems, and has a new GUI screen that provides on-screen icons and menu choices. There also are system inventory features that provide a visual layout of the physical system and describe the hardware characteristics of the provisioned modules.
